Witney North’s Missing Link

Cllr Andrew Prosser talks about the controversial Witney North Development.

There was a huge turnout from Witney residents at an event Andrew and Sandra hosted in late July, to share major concerns about the planning application (24/00482/OUT) for 1,250 homes in North Witney.

Oxfordshire County Council has serious questions to answer as to why it is not now insisting on decent highways and infrastructure.  It has also apparently accepted of dubious transport modelling, with no West End Link, disconnected cycle routes, and vehicle bottlenecks and congestion.

This lack of joined up thinking has often plagued infrastructure delivery in Oxfordshire. We are not prepared to accept more third rate infrastructure that ruins the area…and then there’s the flooding, sewage, degraded landscape and lack of community facilities.
