Too many communities in West Oxfordshire are left stranded without a car, and Bradwell Village has long been one of them. Being right next to the Wildlife Park but cut off from basic services makes everyday life unnecessarily difficult for many residents and for carers at the Elizabeth Finn home.
Thanks to the lovely team at the Villager Bus, things have improved slightly. Following a call from Rosie, they’ve agreed to add an extra Friday morning service from Bradwell Village to Burford and back, starting from 5th December – a small but important step towards reconnecting the village.
There is also a request-only service to Witney every Wednesday; book by calling 01608 811617.
Rosie has also been talking to tourism groups about how to make bus routes more viable by encouraging visitors to use them. Greens will keep pushing for regular, reliable rural transport.
