Hundreds of new homes to be built in village near Yarnton!

Developers’ “seismic” plans to build more than 500 new homes on the outskirts of Oxford could make the risk of flooding worse, it has been claimed.

Greens raise flooding concerns over new development in Yarnton  – Local Green councillors have voiced worries about flooding and traffic around Yarnton and Begbroke after landowner Merton College announces details of developers of the Spring Hill site in Yarnton.

Fiona Mawson, Cherwell district councillor and deputy chair of Yarnton Parish Council, said: “This site was removed from the Green Belt in 2020 in spite of huge local opposition at the time.” )
