Our fight for a hopeful, fairer future depends on everyone who’s ready, to step up to press for real change.
We need volunteers—passionate people willing to lend expertise, energy, and vision so we can deliver action and hope in Cherwell and West Oxfordshire.
Our party is powered by volunteers running public events, mounting campaigns, delivering newsletters, driving our social media, and challenging decision makers.
But there’s so much more to do—there are voices yet to be heard, stories yet to be told, and victories waiting to be won.
You don’t have to be a member to help. If you believe in a fairer, greener future not just for for Cherwell and West Oxfordshire but the whole of the country, join the movement—however you can. Whether that’s an hour a month or a big new idea, each effort makes our Green voice louder and stronger. Reply now and help us write the next chapter—together.
Closer to the election we will also need help with:

Across Cherwell and West Oxfordshire, local people are stepping forward to make a real difference – standing up for their communities, protecting green spaces, improving local services, and bringing Green values into the heart of local decision-making.
In May 2026, around 30 council seats will be contested across our area. Our ambition is simple but powerful:
To give every voter the chance to vote Green wherever there is an election.
That starts with people like you.

Green councillors across Oxfordshire are already showing what’s possible:
Time and again, we’ve shown that when committed local people stand as Greens — and are properly supported — we can win.
But winning seats isn’t the only impact. Simply standing:
Most of our candidates will be standing in non-target seats.
This is a valuable and respected role, involving:
Being a paper candidate is a great way to contribute to the Party’s visibility, especially if you’re new to standing or short on time. If you would to talk to someone about being a paper candidate just email us at elections@northandwestoxon-greens.uk.

If you feel motivated to go further, we would love to hear from you.
As a target candidate, you won’t be on your own. We will:
Yes — it takes commitment and teamwork.
But we know it works.
YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A POLITICIAN
You don’t need prior experience.
You don’t need to know everything already.
You just need to care about your community — and be willing to stand up for it.
Many of our most effective councillors started exactly that way.

We’d love to talk — informally and without pressure — about what being a Green councillor involves and how we can support you just email us at elections@northandwestoxon-greens.uk.
Step forward. Get involved. Help shape the future of your community.
Right now, we’re planning our election operation for May 2026, and we’ve got ambitions to run the biggest, most high profile campaign yet. There’s a real chance that the number of Greens on the council could DOUBLE in next year’s elections.
But to do this, we need your help. We need to raise around £1000 a month to make this happen. If each member donated just the price of a cup of coffee per month we would easily exceed our target.
Unlike the other parties, the Greens don’t have the backing of billionaires or big business. We get only a very small percentage of our membership fees to run our campaigns locally, so we really need your support. We are people-powered and so rely on the kind and generous support of ordinary people like you.
Our number of members have swollen to where we are now the third largest party in the country. Let’s convert that enthusiasm in to councillors – please donate now.
