Sandra Simpson

Sandra has lived in Witney for over 20 years and has been a member of several wildlife and community groups. Cycling around town and regular visits to the Windrush Leisure Centre provide a good range of physical and social activities.

She is the Chair of the Town Council’s Climate and Biodiversity, and Climate Action Working Committees and member of the town’s Parks and Recreation, Policy, Governance and Finance Committees. Her role extends to mentoring the newly established Witney Town Youth Council, supporting young people in their civic engagement.

Working with external bodies such as the Witney Traffic Advisory Committee, Witney Educational Foundation and being a champion for Homestart provides a wide range of experience in aspects of life in Witney.

At the District Council Sandra is a member of the Audit and Governance, Licensing, and Standards committees.

A long standing member of the Green party, Sandra has been active in many Green Party activities including acting as the election agent and has visited most part of West Oxfordshire delivering leaflets and canvassing for elections.
