Amanda Carpenter – your Green Candidate for Kidlington West

Amanda is a lifelong conservationist, with a strong interest and commitment to environmental justice, who has spent her working life in the not for profit and voluntary sector, and now runs a climate and nature consultancy providing strategic leadership to sustainability networks across the legal profession. She is active in the Rights of Nature movement nationally and is working across the climate and nature governance agenda. She is a trustee of ELF – the Environmental Law Foundation which provides pro bono legal support to grassroots and community organisations wishing to tackle cases of environmental harm that threaten their local community.

An accomplished speaker and broadcaster Amanda founded and hosted the award winning Podcast – Planet Pod and now hosts the Sustainable Law Podcast.

Amanda lives locally and is active in local conservation and environment initiatives. She is a member of the Executive for the Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Forum and chairs her local Parish Council. She believes passionately in local government and representation and its power to support and improve communities for the benefit of those who live in them.
